If you've been reading the Takamo Universe Blog from the beginning, you'll recall that I have mentioned Dale Hayes, one of our development team who passed away some time ago. Dale enjoyed playing Takamo and he also graciously wrote content for Takamo Universe. He is missed. Here are a couple of his pieces.

The basic package includes a full 7 sleep cycle stay and includes cyclical meals. Refreshments beyond those for necessary life support are extra, but the surcharge is minimal. Greyson Manor
Greyson Manor is one of five hotel and casino resorts located near Dexter Downs race track on Beloit-3. Greyson has lodgings for 3000 occupants. It is a fully equipped facility able to meet the needs of all known starfaring species. The Manor is open continuously and is not exclusively tied to the racetrack at Dexter Downs. However, the snellet races are a tremendous attraction, and during the season the Manor is booked to capacity. Aside from parimutuel betting allowed on races at the Downs, video links are allowed coverage of other sporting events such as the Hemispheric Races and video betting is permitted.
A primary attraction at Greyson is the top-notch nightly entertainment in the main lounge. First-rate opening run musicals and stage productions play, even in the offseason. The Manor seeks to fully accommodate patrons by providing juvenile care facilities and has fully staffed tutors to provide educational instruction to juveniles of every species. Recreation is available in several forms from the physical to the mental. The main gaming room offers the latest in mechanical and digital randomizing machines which provide a 1 in 20 chance of a jackpot payout. Several areas are supplied with scuttle tables, and scuttle tournaments are held on a cyclical basis.

The cuisine is handled in-house. The galaxy’s finest chefs provide high-quality meals according to species' needs. A shuttle is provided to and from Dexter Downs during racing season at no additional cost to patrons. During non-racing seasons local tours are on offer. The safari tour is the most popular. Cruises can be arranged through the IMP corporation which coordinates travel to nearby starsystems as part of the tour package. Greyson Manor is a non-intoxicant facility and as such does not allow the consumption of intoxicants on premises.

This year has been a busy one for the publishing arm of Takamo Universe. I'm happy to tell you that we have a boatload of novels, novellas and anthologies published and even more in production. A taste of the new Takamo Universe Starship Showroom. The is a Stelltron Commercial Scout We Are Back! I know, I know. I said we would change the format and publish weekly, and here it is, MONTHS later and you are just reading the next installment. Unhappily, In February and March, our family suffered a couple of setbacks, a broken leg, ankle, actually - mine - and in March we all came down with a whopper of a cold that progressed to walking pneumonia and to top it off, we all ended up in the ER at 3 in the morning with a family member who had suffered a traumatic brain injury. So, I've been a bit distracted. But now, the sickness is gone, my leg is healing nicely, and our prayers were answered when the family member came out of his come after neurosurgery and has made a miraculous recovery.
