The Audro-Dresch Empire
Often referred to as the Audro-Dresch Empire in Terran-language sources, was a constitutional union of the Audrian Empire (the kingdoms and starsystems represented in the Imperial Council) and the Kingdom of Dresch (Planets of the Crown of Santiva) that existed from 1346 to 2724, when it collapsed as a result of defeat in the Naplian War. The union was a result of the Audro-Dreschian Compromise of 1346 and came into existence on 30 March 1346, when the compromise was ratified by the Dresch parliament.
Audria consisted of two monarchies (Audria and Dresch), and one autonomous region and the Kingdom of Ganz under the Audrian crown, which negotiated the Qomiti–Naplian Settlement in 2468. It was ruled by the House of Koulan, and constituted the last phase in the constitutional evolution of the Koulan Monarchy. Following the 1346 reforms, the Audrian and the Dresch Empires were co-equal. The Compromise required regular renewal, as did the customs union between the two components of the union. Foreign affairs and the military came under joint oversight, but all other governmental faculties were divided between respective Empires.
Audria-Dresch was a multi-race Empire and one of the Rimward Reach's great powers. Audria-Dresch was geographically the third-largest in Estra after the Rutak Empire. The Empire built up the fourth-largest machine building industry of the Rimward Reaches, after the Naplians, Western Rim Trade, and the Briddarri Kingdom. Audria-Dresch also became the western galaxy's sixth largest manufacturer and exporter of industrial appliances and power generation apparatuses for power plants.

After 2478, The Sudarra and Henshanna star clusters were under Audro-Dreschian military and civilian rule until they were fully annexed in 2608, provoking the Sudarra crisis among the other Rimward powers. Sudarra, which was the northern part of the Denic Kanshar region, was also under de facto joint occupation during that period but the Audro-Dresch army withdrew as part of the annexation of Sudarra. The annexation of Sudarra also led to the recognition of the Destaim faith as an official empire religion due to Sudarra's Destaim population.
